WShift privacy policy
This policy covers WShift and its product website. Core features work without a developer account. Records stay local unless you export them or choose an available Google Drive feature.

Local records
Work dates, shifts, breaks, notes, holiday and overtime settings, rates, currency, language and theme are stored on your device or in your browser. Profiles may contain the name, employee identifier and company or client details you enter. These records support work-hour and pay calculations; the developer does not operate a backend receiving your work records.
Reports and backup files are created at your request. Depending on the version, exports include PDF, spreadsheets or XML; local backups use JSON. Reports can include profile details, hours, pay and selected notes. A cloud backup includes all WShift work profiles and their records and settings. Google connection credentials are not included in the portable backup. Files you export or share go to the apps, services or recipients you choose.
Optional connection
In versions offering Google Drive, connecting is optional and uses Google sign-in. The sign-in SDK processes your Google account identity, including email and basic profile information, and manages authentication tokens on your device. WShift does not receive your Google password. Connection status and WShift folder/file identifiers are stored locally. The drive.file permission limits access to files created by WShift or explicitly authorised for it, rather than all files in your Drive.
When you choose to save or restore a backup or upload a report, WShift transfers the selected file contents directly between your device and Google over HTTPS. There is no automatic background synchronisation in the current app. Google stores uploaded files in your account under its policies and your Drive permissions. Backups and new reports are private by default; existing sharing permissions remain when a file is updated.
Google API data is used only for the backup, restoration, report export and sharing features you request. Its use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. WShift does not sell this data, use it for advertising or use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Report links
Creating a shareable Drive report link requires your confirmation and grants that file read access to anyone with the link. Recipients can open, download, copy or forward the report without signing into a Google account. The file is not made publicly searchable by this action. Review personal details and pay information before sharing. If you later overwrite the same shared report, the link can expose the updated contents too. Remove link access in Google Drive when it is no longer needed; this cannot recall copies already downloaded by recipients.
Control
Local records remain until you delete them or clear app/browser storage. Uninstalling the app can remove local records; exported files and operating-system backups may remain separately. Disconnecting Google Drive signs out and clears WShift connection settings, but does not delete uploaded files, remove shared-link access or revoke the Google authorisation. Delete cloud files and change sharing permissions in Drive separately. Revoke WShift access in your Google account connections. Google determines retention for its service.
Vercel hosts this website and may process request information such as IP addresses and technical logs. Website Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics consent; you can change the site's consent choice. If you contact support, the developer and email provider receive your email address and the information you send. Correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request and applicable legal obligations. App stores process installation and update information under their own policies. These providers may process information outside your country or the EEA under their published safeguards.
Protect your device, Google account and report links. WShift does not sell personal data or use work records for advertising; no system guarantees absolute security. You control records held only on your device. For personal data held by the developer, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing and withdraw consent where applicable. Service requests are handled to provide the requested service; necessary security and troubleshooting rely on legitimate interests, and required recordkeeping on legal obligations. Contact Google for data it holds. You may complain to your local supervisory authority, including Poland’s UODO. Changes to this policy will be published with an updated date.
