Data the product handles
Camera, photos, and OCR
The mobile app uses the camera or photos only after your action. Code scanning and OCR in the mobile app run on-device; images are not uploaded to the developer's server.
Web version
If you separately use the browser-based WareCode version, an image you choose may be sent to a third-party OCR provider only to process that request and is not intentionally retained after processing.

Purpose
Data is used to provide WareCode, secure the service, diagnose problems, and answer support requests.
Providers
Vercel hosts the site, a third-party OCR provider may process web-version OCR requests, site analytics runs only after consent, and app stores handle installation and updates.
Control
Retention and deletion
Local data
Data remains until you delete it, clear browser data, or uninstall the app. Create any backup you need first.
Security
WareCode does not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
