Taxometer terms of use

An estimate for comparison, not a legal taximeter

Taxometer is an independent, non-commercial aid for estimating and comparing a ride price. Results are approximate and must not be treated as an official fare.

Effective July 23, 2026

Purpose

What Taxometer provides

Independent estimate

You can enter the tariff applicable in your city and track a ride to estimate what the price might be. This can help a passenger compare an estimate with a quoted or charged taxi fare.

Your inputs matter

You are responsible for entering the correct local rates, currency, zones, time periods, minimum fare, waiting charges, supplements, and other applicable rules.

Limitations

Not an official commercial instrument

No certification

Taxometer is not a certified or legally approved taximeter, fiscal cash register, receipt system, invoice system, or proof of the amount legally due.

Commercial use

The app is not intended to calculate or collect commercial passenger fares. Do not use it as a replacement for required licensed equipment or fiscal systems. Any professional use is solely your responsibility and is allowed only where the applicable law expressly permits it and all required approvals are in place.

Accuracy

Verify every result

Approximate only

GPS accuracy, signal loss, route changes, traffic, waiting time, device behavior, rounding, local tariff rules, supplements, and incorrect inputs can make the estimate differ from the actual fare.

No guarantee or dispute decision

The app is provided as is. An estimate does not prove that a driver or operator overcharged a passenger and does not replace advice from a regulator, consumer authority, lawyer, or licensed taxi professional.
