Taxometer is an auxiliary calculation tool. It does not authorise transport or replace legally required equipment.

Purpose
Taxometer is software for approximate trip calculations, user-configured tariffs, local records and optional payment handoff. It is not a certified or legally approved taximeter, fiscal cash register, official fare-measuring instrument or substitute for equipment required by law. App Store availability, a calculated fare, a receipt or a successful SumUp payment does not establish legal compliance or authorise passenger transport.
Professional or commercial use is permitted only to the extent that applicable law in the country and locality of use allows this kind of auxiliary software. Before use, independently verify any required transport licences, driver/vehicle permissions, insurance, metrology approvals, approved taximeters, fare disclosures, tax registration, fiscalisation and receipt/invoice obligations. You remain responsible for obtaining and maintaining them. If the law requires another certified instrument or prohibits this use, do not use Taxometer as that instrument. The developer does not certify your compliance or provide legal advice.
User obligations
The developer supplies software and does not operate, dispatch, license or insure your passenger transport, set your commercial tariffs, or become a party to your passenger contract. You are responsible for the service you provide, agreed prices, truthful profile data and legally required information. Do not represent Taxometer or its developer as a regulator, licensed carrier, fiscal provider or approver of your business.
GPS, map, address and routing data can be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Verify routes, distance, tariffs and amounts before relying on them; the app does not guarantee a correct legal fare. A generated document is a non-fiscal informational record, not proof of required fiscalisation or an official tax document. Keep any records and certified equipment required by law independently. Do not operate the device while driving; comply with traffic and safety rules. Secure your device and keep backups you need.
Payments and external services
SumUp integration only passes a payment request to the separate SumUp app; it does not convert Taxometer into an approved taximeter or make transport lawful. You need your own eligible merchant account, required equipment and applicable SumUp agreements. SumUp processes card payments, not the developer. Verify the final transaction status in SumUp before retrying an uncertain payment. Refunds, disputes, fees and settlement follow your merchant agreement and applicable law. Payment success is distinct from legal or fiscal compliance.
External services have their own terms, availability and privacy rules. You choose whether to connect Google Drive, upload or share a receipt and open SumUp. A public receipt QR/link allows anyone with the link to view the document. Obtain the rights and lawful basis needed to process other people’s data; protect their privacy and revoke sharing when appropriate. No developer account is required for core functions. Software terms
Subject to these terms and applicable platform licence terms, you may use the app for lawful personal purposes and lawful auxiliary professional purposes described above. The developer retains intellectual property rights. Do not misrepresent certification, misuse another person’s data, circumvent security or use the software unlawfully. Mandatory statutory rights to interoperability or other permitted acts remain unaffected.
To the extent permitted by law, the software is supplied without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, measurement accuracy or suitability for regulated transport. The developer is not responsible for your unlawful transport activity, missing permits, incorrect tariff setup, or misuse of exported records, nor for independent provider decisions beyond the developer’s control. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury, data protection violations, or mandatory consumer remedies. These terms do not transfer the developer’s own legal obligations to you.
Updates may change functions or compatibility; material terms changes are published with an updated date and apply prospectively with notice where required. These terms supplement, rather than replace, applicable Apple/platform licence terms and preserve mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights in your country. If a clause is unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue only to the extent lawful. Contact the developer with questions or complaints before relying on the app for a regulated activity.
